Ralph J. Annucci

Greece: April 30, 2024. Ralph is predeceased by his parents, Lido & Carmella Annucci; sons, Craig Annucci & Stephen Annucci; sisters, Faye Cissel & Antoinette Mannillo. He is survived by his wife, Christina "Tina" (Sotile) Annucci; sons, David (Melissa) Annucci & Christopher Annucci; grandchildren, Ashley, Aubree, Liam, Harrison, Oliver, & Christopher Annucci, Jr.; siblings, Esther Petralia & Lee (Cheryl) Annucci; father-in-law, Thomas Sotile; mother-in-law, Barbara Sotile; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Rich) Marcucci & Sandra Knaak; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.

Ralph's life story will be shared during his visitation, Monday, May 13th, 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Ralph's funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 14th, 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist, 2400 W. Ridge Road. Immediately following, Ralph will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Remembering Ralph Annucci: A Life of Leadership and Generosity

Ralph Annucci's story is one of resilience, determination, and dedication to others. Born on July 13, 1934, in Rochester, NY, to Lido and Carmella Annucci, Ralph grew up surrounded by love and support from his family. Despite facing challenges from a young age due to a leg injury that required multiple surgeries, Ralph's spirit remained unbroken, buoyed by the support of his parents and siblings, Faye, Antoinette, Esther, and Lee.

From his early years, Ralph was instilled with the values of hard work and education. His father, Lido, a tailor, and his mother, Carmella, who dedicated herself to raising the children, provided the foundation upon which Ralph would build his remarkable life. Education was paramount in the Annucci household, where Lido always encouraging his children to excel academically.

Ralph's journey continued through Holy Apostles for grade school and later Aquinas Institute for High School. Alongside his studies, he worked at Hart's Grocery Store, where he developed a strong work ethic that would serve him well throughout his life. After high school, Ralph embarked on a successful career path, holding various positions at companies such as Flower City Builders, Comac Sales, Builders Supply, and Rochester Concrete & Block. His academic pursuits led him to graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he distinguished himself in accounting and actively participated in extracurricular activities such as the glee club.

In November of 1975, Ralph's leadership qualities were recognized when he assumed the role of president of the NYS Concrete Masonry Association. Throughout his career, he continued to make significant contributions to his community. He served on the Rochester Monroe County Port Authority, earning recognition as Rotarian of the Year in 1987, and holding prestigious positions such as President of Ridgemont Country Club and President of Rotary in 2000. Ralph's dedication extended beyond professional endeavors, as shown by his initiation of the Ziti Fundraiser and his service as Constable of the 1st Ward. Ralph became a member of the Greece Rotary Club in 1975. He was the Club President in 1977-78 and served on the board several times in various roles over his 48 member years. Ralph was a Paul Harris fellow and Greece Rotarian of the Year in 1987.

Ralph was the Chairman of the Greece Ziti Pasta Dinner every year since the beginning of that event. This event has raised over $800,000 in the 45 years it has been in existence, of which the money was put in the Greece Rotary Foundation account to fund numerous local (Literacy/Greece Food Shelf/School Education) initiatives, plus many International Greece Rotary service projects. Many 7120 Rotary Clubs have sought Ralphs advice how to run a successful pasta event, he was very helpful in this regard.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ralph's greatest joy was his family. He was an amazing husband to Christina, whom he met at the Convenient Food Mart and later married at St. John the Evangelist Church. Together, they shared a deep love for golfing, cooking, and exploring the world through travel, including cherished trips to Italy and the Caribbean Islands. In their later years, Ralph and Christina found joy in working together and embarking on cross-country road trips, embracing new adventures with enthusiasm and zest for life.

Ralph's positivity and unselfish nature extended to his role as a husband and father. He was the proud father to four sons, David, Christopher, Stephen, and Craig whom he cherished dearly.

Ralph's impact was not confined to his professional achievements; it was the essence of his character that left an indelible mark on those around him. Known for his large stature and even bigger heart, Ralph had a knack for making everyone he encountered feel important and valued. Whether it was on the golf course, where he cherished moments with his close friend Dan Hogan, or in the company of lifelong friends like Ron Carlivati and Don Mariotti, Ralph's warmth and genuine interest in people endeared him to all.
His love for life was evident in his favorite activities: golfing, traveling, cooking, and enjoying the company of others. Ralph was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, a connoisseur of cigars, and a lover of Frank Sinatra's music. His favorite saying, "if you see something, say something," encapsulated his proactive approach to life, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer sage advice.

Above all, Ralph's legacy is one of positivity and boundless generosity. He was tough as nails until the very end. Ralph's enduring impact on his community and the lives he touched is a testament to the power of his spirit and the depth of his compassion.

As we remember Ralph Annucci, we celebrate a life lived with passion, integrity, and an commitment to others. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, leadership, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
