Greece: September 3, 2017. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Eckl) Caverly; parents, James & Agnes Caverly. Andrew is survived by his children, Kevin (Amy) Caverly, Karen Caverly and Kim (Mark) Caverly-Molinaro; grandsons, Kyle (Jamie Davis) Caverly & Michael Molinaro; great-granddaughter, Ava Caverly; brothers, Msgr. PJ Caverly, Msgr. JB Caverly and Vincent Caverly; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Andrew’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Michael Herbowy & staff and also Dr. Nathan Ritter & staff for their kind and compassionate care.
Andrew’s visitation will be held 3 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 & Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Road. Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Unity Health Foundation, C/O Timothy McCormick Transitional Care Center, 1555 Long Pond Rd, Rochester NY 14626 in Shirley & Andrew’s memory.
Andrew was born on September 22, 1933 in County Cork, Ireland. His parents were James and Agnes Caverly and they raised their family in Church Cross Skibbereen. Andrews siblings were PJ, JB, Vincent and Ethna. Their upbringing including a strong catholic presence and that influenced his two brothers to join the priest hood, PJ & JB. During his younger years, Andrew was interested in music and dance. Things that he enjoyed during his adult life was the holidays, spending time with family, golf and taking walks. Some of Andrew’s favorite things were the movie Pretty Woman, and for music Frank Sinatra. He will be remembered for his positive attitude, charisma, hard working and the pride in his Irish heritage. Andrew will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
