Greece: Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Predeceased by his parents, Harry & Norma Caswell; brother, Jim Caswell. Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy Caswell; children, Kelly, Sean (Jenny) & Patrick; grandchildren, Rick, Kate, Aiden & Landen; sister, Sandy (Bill) Doran; brother, Chris (Barb) Caswell; brother-in-law, Rick Fitzpatrick; sister- in-law, Pat Caswell; many nieces, nephews and friends. Dan grew in up in the Seabreeze community with his brothers and sister, Jim, Sandy & Chris. He attended St. Salome's Church. He played football at East Ridge High School and was very active in Boy Scouts at Camp Cutler. After graduating from high school he went to Grand Canyon University. He later joined the Army and rose to the rank of Sargeant First Class. He served as an Orthopeadic Tech in Berlin and eventually became an Army recruiter in Springfield, IL earning a Top Recruiter award.

He met his wife Nancy at a Halloween party. They wed at Our Lady of Providence in St. Louis, MO in 1980. There were married 37 years and had three beautiful children, Kelly, Sean & Patrick. They were blessed further with grandchildren, Rick, Kate, Aidon & Landen.

A couple of his most memorable times in his life included at trip to Ireland in 2006 and experiencing San Francisco's earthquake in 1989.

Dan was a member of the American Legion #206. For fun he liked to write stories, draw & paint and as many do, he enjoyed watching movies on Netflix. Some of favorite movies included Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Favorite TV shows were Monk TV, Murder She Wrote & CSI. And we can't forget sports, he was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills as well as the Syracuse Orange.

Most would describe Dan as someone who was easy to talk to, always very easy going. He was also remembered for his corny jokes. These qualities made it easy to like Dan. He will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held Tuesday November 28, 3-7 PM at the Funeral Home 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 and long pond) Service and Interment at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic, 465 Westfall Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in Daniel's memory.
