Obituary of Patrick DeCillis
Greece: Monday, July 23, 2018 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his parents, Paul & Maria; siblings, Eugene DeCillis and Angelina Morgigno. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 66 yrs., Theresa; children, Kathleen (Jim) Cvitanovich, Patty DeCillis, Paul (Cynthia), Tom (Sharon); 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Patrick died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family. He was a Navy Veteran who served
during World War II. After graduating from University of Colorado on the GI bill, he enjoyed a 43-year career as a pharmacist, including 20 years as the owner of The Saratoga Pharmacy. He lived a full life and especially enjoyed watching the New York Yankees on tv. Thank you to the staff at Hamilton Manor Nursing Home and a special thank you to Unity Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care given to Patrick and his family.
Patrick’s lifestory will be shared during visitation Friday, July 27 from 4-8PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between Rte. 390 & Long Pond Rd.). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM on Saturday, July 28 at St. John the Evangelist, 2400 W. Ridge Rd. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider masses said for the repose of his soul, or memorials to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or Lollypop Farm, Humane Society, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450 in Patrick’s memory.
