Angelo Cordaro was born and raised in the Rochester area. His first job at age 16 was at Wegmans grocery store. After he graduated from high school he served in the army and then went to work at General Dynamics and later, Kodak.

Angelo and his wife Marian met through mutual friends when he was just 16. The high school sweethearts stayed together, and married 5 years later, September 11, 1954. They were married for 63 years. Together they had 3 children; Anthony, Kathleen and Diane. They later were blessed with 5 grandchildren; Kevin, Brandon, Patrick, Amanda and Jessica. He truly loved being a father and grandfather.

One of the things he really enjoyed the most was going to his cottage out in Orleans County. Probably his two favorite past times were drinking his favorite beer (Molson) and working in the garden. You’d also see Angelo frequently in the grocery store, as he liked to grocery shop! Angelo also loved classical music and Frank Sinatra. Watching boxing, football and basketball (Syracuse Orangeman!) rounded out his favorite things and things to do.

Angelo was very conservative, but had a great sense of humor. Some of the things you’d hear coming out of his mouth were, “Huh?,” “What a jerk!,” and “Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!” He adored his grandchildren and loved hearing about the successes of others. Angelo was very intelligent and lived a very happy and long life.
