Andrew was born October 2, 1922 in Rochester, NY to his parents Vincenzo & Vincenzina Mancini. He grew up on the West side of the City of Rochester and graduated from East High School.

Soon after high school Andrew enlisted in the US Army. He served proudly from 1944-1946.

After being discharged from the Army he reconnected with a neighborhood friend, Eve DiGennaro. The two were later married and they began a family to include their two children Jim & Andrea.

Andrew was a true family man. He enjoyed spending time with family. He was very proud of his children & grandchildren. He looked forward to spending time with family in Endicott. He & Eve regularly took dancing lessons and nothing made him happier than a dance with his love.

He was very hardworking. After returning from the service he quickly found his niche and became a hair stylist. He was a stlylist for over 40 years serving the Rochester community. The last location for Andrew Hair Stylists was at the corner of Newton & W. Ridge Rd.

When Andrew wasn't hard at work he enjoyed, golfing, fishing and bowling. His musical preferences were to listen to the crooner's of his day. His favorite musicians included Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett. He also enjoyed John Wayne movies. Andrew kept up with current events via the daily newspaper.

Those who knew Andrew would describe him as: a man of few words, courageous, accepting of life's challenges, dutiful, one who always did the right thing, patient grandfather, open to learning new things, intelligent, generous, loving & one who never complained. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
