Mary Ann was born to William and Bernice Doolin on August 20, 1933. She was born into a family of three older brothers. Bill, Bob, and Dick became her life-long protectors and friends. Mary Ann's childhood was filled with faith and family. She attended St. Boniface and Blessed Sacrament Schools. The Doolin siblings enjoyed many outdoor activities together: canoeing, swimming, tobogganing, and skating at Cobb's Hill. Mary Ann was a figure skating champion.

Mary Ann was a cosmetologist and owner of Style Tyme Beauty Salon. She changed careers to allow more time for her family. She worked as a crossing guard, helping students at the busy intersection of Elmwood and Mt. Hope Avenues. As a result, she was featured in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper.

When Mary Ann became a widow at 45, she moved into the classroom at School #5 as a special-needs paraprofessional. With 3 children attending catholic schools, Mary Ann often worked multiple jobs to provide for her girls. While she was a proud R.C.S.D. Retiree, Mary Ann continued to work after retirement in various roles.

Mary Ann enjoyed traveling and visiting family. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest advocate and always there to lend a hand or word of wisdom. Mary Ann's personality, sparkling Irish eyes, and dimples left lasting impressions to all who met her.
