Gary G. Betters

Greece: Passed away on July 29, 2026. Gary is predeceased by his wife, Linda Betters; best friend/brother, Armond Kane. He is survived by his children, Michelle (Anthony) Sutherland & Greg G. (Justine) Betters; he was the proud grandfather of his two grandsons, Joshua Fidler & Jacob Fidler; brothers, Dan Betters, Kevin (Sandra) Betters, Tim Betters, & Ron Betters.

Gary’s life story will be shared during visitation at the funeral home, Saturday, August 1st, 9-10AM, 1411 Vintage Lane, (between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). His Life Celebration Service at the funeral home will begin at 10 AM. Immediately following, Gary will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in Gary name to Mary Cariola Center, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Ste 100, Rochester, NY 14620 or to St. Ann’s Community, 920 Cherry Ridge, Webster, NY 14580 in his memory.

Gary was a devoted family man who brought immense warmth to the lives of those around him. His legacy lives on through his family.

Gary served his country with pride as a member of the Army and was honorably discharged on August 2, 1967.

A dedicated professional, he spent his career at Lightnin Mixers where he ultimately retired as Vice-President of Human Resources.

Gary’s commitment to his community began in his youth, achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. As and adult, he remained deeply active with the local Boy Scouts of America, mentoring generations of young scouts. He also cherished his time coaching Little League Baseball alongside his best friend, Armond Kane. He instilled servant leadership in his daily life and taught his children by example.

Gary loved playing golf, bowling, traveling, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.

He was at his happiest when he was with family, especially spending time with his beloved grandsons.
