Experience & History

We are proud to say we’ve been helping families for over a century. During this time doing business, many things have changed. Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home’s drive to give the best care, has not.

In 1922 George and Frances Bartolomeo started in funeral care to fulfill a community need. George Bartolomeo networked with the community, while Frances was the brains behind the business. She filled all funeral roles during a time of great change in the industry.

Back then, calling hours were often held in private homes. In 1926, the couple recognized the need to have a building to make things easier for families. The original funeral home was located on Jay Street in Rochester, NY. They eventually moved to Lexington Avenue. The current funeral home resides on Vintage Lane in Greece, NY.

Having no children of their own, George and Frances passed their knowledge on to their nephews, Phil Perotto and Peter Giullari. They took the business over in 1970. Now the family tradition carries on with Phil’s sons, Michael and David Perotto.

In 2009 the Perottos purchased Walker Brothers Funeral Homes, located in Spencerport and Churchville, adding to the funeral home family. In doing so, they were able to extend the same level of service to more communities, and boost their ability to offer better pricing options. With continued passion, they provide the best care possible by today’s funeral care standards.
