Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home offers distinctive, personal, and affordable services designed to help you honor your loved one in a way that is unique to them and meaningful to you.
“For thousands of years, funerals have been how we express our beliefs, thoughts, and feelings about the death of someone we love. The funeral ceremony helps us acknowledge that someone we love has died. It allows us to say goodbye. It helps us remember the person who died and gives us a time and place to share those memories with others. It provides a social support system for everyone grieving the death. It gives us a focused time for us to think about the meaning of life and death. And it offers a sense of continuity and hope for the living.
Funerals may be about the person who died, but they are for the living. A good funeral puts you on the path to good grief and healthy mourning.”
– Excerpt from Dr. Alan Wolfelt
“Why is the Funeral Ritual Important?”
A gathering of family and friends is often referred to as a viewing or visitation. Traditionally the casket is present, either open or closed. These gatherings can be held at the funeral home, church or place of worship, or other acceptable venues allowing friends and family to come together and pay their final respects to the person who has died. It is also a time for closure, when those left behind can say goodbye.
Here are some common examples of funeral services chosen most often by the family’s we serve. These services can be held over multiple days or can be accomplished on the same day if desired. We can tailor any of these options to meet your individual needs.
You can have funeral services at a variety of venues; most popular being at your church or place of worship, in one of our gathering rooms or at the graveside (or mausoleum). Reception services are also becoming a popular choice for families.
The church has meant so much to your family and your community. Perhaps you were dedicated there as an infant, baptized there as a child or celebrated your marriage there surrounded by family and friends. It only makes sense to involve your church family in your final life event of a funeral.
We believe in supporting the church as much as you do. That’s why; we specialize in hosting your funeral at your local church where you’ll be surrounded by the ones you love in a place familiar and dear to your heart.
Church funerals are typically scheduled in the morning, and are followed by the graveside committal service.
Celebrant Services are popular with families whose loved one was not affiliated with a church at the time of their passing, families who are located outside of our area or those who may not be able to attend a lengthy church service.
When you choose to hold a service in our gathering room, it eliminates the need to convert a visitation room for a funeral (like many of the other funeral homes in our area). This dedicated room features seating for over 100 guests, the latest in audio and video equipment and a welcoming décor.
Our beautiful, inviting rooms provide the perfect setting for services of any type.
A Graveside Service can be anything from a small, casual group of family and close friends, to something larger with a formal schedule of events. Many times, the graveside ceremony will follow a time of visitation at the funeral home, a funeral service in church or place of worship, or one of our gathering rooms. Some families choose to have a graveside service, followed by a memorial service in the future. You may also choose to only have a service at the graveside. Family and friends would simply assemble at the cemetery for the committal service of the casket.
Clergy, friends or loved ones may take an active part in the graveside ceremony. Service, poems may be read or a special song can be sung.
Many families are forgoing traditional services for more contemporary ones. A memorial service or life celebration service may be the perfect option to share memories of that special loved one. Typically, the casket is not present for these services and the service is held before or after the deceased is buried or entombed.
These services can take place right at the funeral home or a place of your choosing. The possibilities are endless.
We encourage families to bring in anything that tells their story. Dad loved his motorcycle; we’ll put it on display. Your guests will appreciate what he was passionate about. Your sister, Elizabeth, was an artist. Showing her work is a powerful reminder of what made her, “her.” The sky is the limit, it’s up to you how you wish to honor your loved one.
There is no better way to remember your loved one than with a special personalized tribute. Our Life Tribute video program incorporates your family’s pictures with music into a presentation that can be played at the visitation, during the service or at the conclusion of the service. This tribute can be shared digitally on our website and social media for family and friends around the world.
Do you have family members in another state or overseas who are unable to attend the service? Just ask, and we will make it happen.
You are not limited to traditional funeral music during your loved one’s service. Customize the visitation or service with your loved one’s favorite tunes. We are happy to help during the services.
A Celebrant is a professional who is trained and certified to meet the needs of families during their time of loss. This expert can help your family create a personalized tribute service to celebrate your loved one’s unique life. You may choose to use a Celebrant alone or in conjunction with clergy. Every funeral director at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home is a Certified Celebrant, there to guide you in designing a service that fits your needs, as well as lead it. If you want an uplifting service that pays tribute to your loved one’s life or if you are not affiliated with a church, a Celebrant service may be the perfect option.
The bagpipe provides a solemn, powerful song, making it the ideal instrument for funerals and memorials. For hundreds of years, people far and wide have bid farewell to their dearly departed with the music of the pipes. We can help you commemorate a loved one with this noble music tribute.
Friends, relatives, church members or business associates may serve as pallbearers. If the family would prefer, we can provide some or all pallbearers for your loved one’s service.
We can help you honor your military member with a flag ceremony, color guard, trumpeter or even a final gun salute. We work with all branches of the military and can make all the proper arrangements easily and efficiently.
Sharing keepsakes personally made or nurtured by your loved is a thoughtful takeaway. For example, Mom had an incredible green thumb. Her plants are still thriving – giving away her living plants is like giving them a part of her that will live on. Keepsakes can be anything, artwork, books, crafts, anything with your loved one’s personal touch.
We can coordinate an on-site reception for up to 40 people right here at the funeral home. We are also happy to help you with an off-site reception at the venue of your choice. We are also happy to help you with an off-site reception at the venue of your choice. Whether it be a restaurant, banquet center or golf club, this gives your family and friends an opportunity to gather and reminisce after your loved one’s service.

I had the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful, and detailed service from Bartolomeo and Perrotto. Mike guided us through all the details, suggested things we wouldn't have thought of, and made a difficult experience not just bearable, but helped us celebrate joyfully the life of my beloved wife Eileen. The services provided did not stop with the funeral; I am being guided through all the necessary notifications, etc. by weekly guidance from Tom. I cannot adequately express my appreciation for the help they have provided and the space they've given me to grieve.
The care and compassion of everyone on the staff were incredible. Everything went smoothly and their help throughout the process helped make our tribute to our mom comforting to all of us. Thank you so much.
From the pre-plan, to mom's death, the services, and the aftercare, the professionalism of the Bartolomeo & Perotto team, along with their compassion and care for me and my family, was outstanding. For decades and for generations, my family has turned to Bartolomeo & Perotto and our expectations have always been exceeded. We are most grateful. Fr. Kevin Mannara
We worked with Joe Capuano @ Bartolomeo & Perotto. Joe took care of all the arrangements for my Aunt’s funeral with much ease and compassion. When the need arises, I would highly recommend reaching out to Bartolomeo & Perotto. Their services provided us with Peace in knowing our Aunt was well taken care of. Thanks to Joe and the team. Jodi
I cannot thank the people at Bartolomeo and Perotto enough, for making our remembrance of my loved one truly special. Everything was impeccably managed - from the initial pre-planning, the final preparations after his passing, the memorial itself, to the aftercare for me. Bartolomeo and Perotto facilitated a memorial truly tailored to my loved one's life. Even the arrangement of his memorabilia was spot on. I didn't have to or even want to change a thing, which is a first for me! A family member said it best. As he left the service, he told his wife "I want something like that." Thank you, THANK YOU, to all the folks at Bartolomeo and Perotto, for making that day something I can carry in my heart with love and peace.
I can't say enough about my wonderful experience working with our funeral director Joe Capuano. Joe made suggestions with somethings we had forgotten. I personally would like to give a very, very special thank you to David and Michael Perotto. They are all genuinely professional, caring, personable, compassionate, and understanding.
There staff are very professional also. They return your phone calls immediately. They proof read and contact you before anything is printed.
May I suggest if you want a first class funeral for your loved one look no further than Bartolommeo and Perotto funeral home.
Thank you all again!!!!
Cacia Family
When my father passed, Dave, and all at B&P made sure that everything was handled down to the finest detail to ensure that our family had the best memorial/funeral for my father. They made a difficult process as easy as they could and were always mindful of the sensitive nature of it all.
I recently lost my wife and I chose Bartolomeo and Perotto for her services. Let me just say that they are the best of the best. The personal touch, attention to detail and all around care and concern in our time of need was impeccable. Hats off to Dave Perotto, just fantastic. I would never go anywhere else in a difficult time. Everything was perfect.
Wonderful to work with in every way. They are very focused on the family's needs. If you live in Greece I'd use them.
Our Funeral Director was Dave and he made everything go very smoothly. We weren't really sure what we wanted or what we needed to start doing and Dave was able to help guide is through a lot of things; not just funeral related. He let us know what most people forget to do and gave us advice on how to do things. We also interacted a lot with Frank and he was very nice as well. They helped organize a beautiful service and have continuously offered their support every time we've called for something.
We experienced really amazing service from the staff and they made everything very easy.
They are more than just a business. The staff treats the loved one that passed away with tenderness and honor. My Gram, Dad, & Mom looked beautiful!! Mike and Dave went out of their way for us!! They are the best!!!!
They are very compassionate and really feel the pain and sorrow you are going thru and are there for you every step of the way. We lost our mom last week and her calling hours were last Friday at Bartolomeo and they could not be more gracious and accomodating including a catered in meal for our family right at the funeral site. It was nice to just sit back, relax and be waited on while we were having dinner. The catered meal is something new that the funeral home has introduced and I would highly recommend dealing with them. They took care of everything for us and it made us so much more stress free.
Very compassionate, accommodating & professional. They made me feel like family heart
The service was amazing they are very compassionate and have a lot of empathy no complaints whatsoever made me feel like family thank you for the compliment that you gave my family God bless you all
We could not have asked for a better experience in this very tragic time for my family. Everyone was professional, helpful, and compassionate, and no stone was left unturned. Mike and team allowed us to focus on the only thing that matters--grieving our family member's loss.
