Resided in: Rochester, NY

Concetta “Connie” Dalba Broughan, 96, born in Mt. Morris, New York, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and her dear friend, LuAnn. Born on December 1, 1929, Connie lived a long, beautiful life defined by devotion, warmth, and an unwavering love for her family.

Connie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by the people she loved. Together with her beloved husband, George, she shared many wonderful years filled with vacations, family outings, and simple pleasures. She delighted in movies, cappuccinos, and Boston cream donuts – small joys that always brightened her days. Their home was also made complete by their beloved dog, Sidney, who brought them happiness for 18 years.

Family traditions were the heart of Connie’s world. She loved gathering everyone for Sunday sauce dinners, summer picnics, and Fourth of July celebrations. Her warm personality, sense of humor, and the hugs and kisses she gave so freely made everyone feel welcomed and deeply loved. Connie enjoyed reading and music, especially the timeless voices of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, and she proudly sang in her high school choir.

Connie built a long and fulfilling career at B. Forman Company, working her way up to office manager. It was there that her lifelong love of shopping began – a passion she carried joyfully throughout her life.

In her later years, Connie made her home at the Jewish Home of Rochester, where she found a wonderful community that became like family. She thrived there, surrounded by friendship, care, and activities she adored – creative arts, bracelet‑making, bingo, live music, ice cream socials, and outings to local restaurants. She was deeply loved by the staff, caregivers, and friends she made along the way.

Still, nothing brought Connie more happiness than visits from her family. She treasured every moment spent with them, and her loved ones will forever hold close the memories, laughter, stories, and unconditional love she shared.

Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clarence “George” Broughan; her mother, Angeline Cipolla; her daughter, Karen Adam; her son, Robert Broughan; her sister, Gloria Burgess; her brothers, Samuel Cipolla and Frank Busickio; her sister, Marian Turek; her grandson, Patrick Reed; and her son‑in‑law, Mark Crispino.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Palermo (William Adams) and Robin Crispino; her grandchildren – including her devoted granddaughter and “special angel,” Kimberly Briggs, Christopher Palermo, Ronald Reed, Melissa Stiner, Brian Adam, Marc Crispino, Ryan Crispino, and Caitlyn Crispino; along with many cherished great‑grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Connie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Jewish Home of Rochester for the exceptional care, friendship, and love they provided. Connie was truly happy there, and her family will always be grateful for the beautiful final chapter they helped create for her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie’s memory to the Jewish Home of Rochester, 2021 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14618i n appreciation of the loving care she received.
