Julie E. Lopez

April 3, 1962 ~ August 17, 2026

Born in: Ashland, OH
Resided in: Webster, NY

Julie Ellen Brownson Lopez, 64, of Webster, New York, passed away at her home with her husband by her side on August 17, 2026, after a valiant struggle with serious illnesses.

Born on April 3, 1962 to Edith I. and Walter M. Brownson, Julie was the baby of the family, a role she came to relish. She graduated from The Ohio State University and became a CPA. Julie lived life to the maximum of which she was able, was a word and sudoku puzzle whiz, an avid fan of professional basketball and found the ocean greatly spiritual. But most of all, she loved her family fiercely. She was known for her soft heart, warm hugs and showers of tiny kisses. She delighted in playing games with her grandchildren whom she adored. She will be greatly missed.

Julie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Vincent L. Lopez, daughter Lauren E. Gilliland, son-in-law Eli Gilliland, grandchildren Carson and Mae, her mother, sisters Kate Peresie and Cindy Bruce, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and brother Tim Brownson.

A Celebration Of Life will be held from 2-5pm on Thursday, August 27th with 3:30pm prayer and remembrances led by Cindy at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado, 80227. A final gathering will take place at 8:30am at Horan & McConaty for a 9:00am escorted procession to the graveside service at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses St., Golden, CO 80401.
