History
Dr. Jack Lewis Connelly, co-founder of the Westside Pediatric Group, passed away peacefully March 28, 2011, at the age of 86. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 63 years, Carolyn Melville Connelly; his brother and sister-in-law Jerald (Bud) and Joan Connelly; and his children and their spouses: Paula Connelly, Leslie and Joe Jablonski, Jacquelyn Connelly and Paul Morocco, Claudia and Steve Griffin, and Jack and Shari Connelly.
His grandchildren will greatly miss their grandpa: Brooks and Reid Lustig; Katie and Geoff Grell (and great grandson Ethan); Joe and Lori Jablonski; Anna, David and John Jablonski; Perry and Eve Morocco; Cassidy and Colby Griffin; and Matthew Connelly.
He is predeceased by son-in-law Tom Lustig and great grandson Jacob Grell.
Dr. Connelly was a graduate of Madison High and the University of Rochester. He received his medical degree from the U of R Medical School and a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. He traveled to Vicksburg, MS in 1952 to help fight the polio epidemic. Dr. Connelly and Dr. Posson established their pediatric practice on the west side of the Genesee River, a practice that has expanded and still flourishes today. He served in the Pacific with the Navy during WWII.
Dr. Connelly was an avid golfer, a fifty year member of Brook-Lea Country Club. He also enjoyed skiing, contract bridge, chess, woodworking, and games and puzzles of all types, teaching his children and grandchildren to embrace the challenge of competition.

Services
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, from 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM at Bartolomeo Perotto Funeral Home at 1411 Vintage Lane in Greece. Services and Burial In Mt. Hope Cemetery are private.
