Marcello is survived by his wife of 66 years Anna; daughters, Enrica (Tom) Fleming & Anna Julia (Karl Salzer) Catalani; grandchildren, Marc (Lisa), Gabriel (Kate), Stefan & Maria Fleming; great-grandchildren, Josie, Julia, Anthony & Betsy. To light a candle of remembrance please visit www.bartolmeo.com Marcello's visitation will be Sunday 1-5 PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, immediately followed by his Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Joseph's Place of the Cathedral Community, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615 or to Pancreatic Cancer Association of WNY, PO Box 24580, Rochester, NY 14624 in Marcello's memory. Marcello was born on May 30, 1929 to Gaetano & Enrichetta Catalani in Celano,Italy. He and his wife, Anna grew up in Celano and were married there on June 22, 1950. They have two daughters, Enrica and Anna Julia. In 1955 they settled in Rochester joining Marcello's parents. During Marcello's adult years, he worked as a machine operator for Eastman Kodak Co. for almost 30 years. Marcello's greatest pride and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren to whom he was a loving "Nonno."He enjoyed Sunday dinners and holidays with family. Marcello also kept in touch with family in Italy and Canada. He loved to garden as he tended to his fountain, rose bushes and vegetable garden for many years. Marcello was an active member of the Colonia Celanese Sports Club. He made his own wine and liked to play bocce. Marcello and Anna vacationed in St. Pete's Beach, Florida during the winter months for many years. Marcello owned a 1987 red Trans AM which he drove only a few times a year, usually to Charlotte Beach. He enjoyed listening to Italian music, dancing with Anna, watching the news, and soccer matches on T.V. Marcello could best be described as a devoted family man & son. He was social, affectionate, and generous. Marcello will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many friends and family.
