GREECE - September 3, 2020. Bud is survived by his wife Jane (Bauman) Morgan; children, Laurie (Tom) DiCesare, Linda (Steve) Soos, Kim LaVigueur Brian (Sue) Morgan; grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie LaVigueur, Tobie, Torie Tyler DiCesare, Lydia Blake Morgan; several nieces, nephews dear friends. Due to NYS regulations all will be required to wear masks and hand sanitize at the funeral home and church. Click here to sign Bud's virtual register book The Story of Bud Morgan Bertrand and Kathleen Morgan welcomed a baby boy named Bertrand "Bud" William Morgan II on August 16, 1939 in Rochester, NY. Bud became an older brother to Ronald Morgan in 1942. As a child, Bud attended Mother of Sorrows and graduated from St. Charles in 8th grade. Meeting in elementary school, Bud and Jane became childhood sweethearts. He finished his high school education by attending the Aquinas Institute in 1957. Bud worked various jobs until he started his career with the Eastman Kodak Company in 1963. During Bud's career at Kodak, he served as a Customer Relations Representative and as the Assistant Supervisor at the Maintenance Department. Shortly after high school he took an interest in guitar playing because of his favorite singer, Johnny Cash, and developed an avid interest in bird watching. Bud was drafted in the Army Reserves, 48th division in June of 1962. Bud's service ended in 1968. Bud and Jane were married on September 14, 1963 at Mother of Sorrows church. After they enjoyed their honeymoon in the Poconos Mountains, they purchased their first home in Braddock's. Shortly after he joined the Braddock's Heights, Barnard and North Greece fire departments ready to serve those communities. Due to his commitment and dedication, he served 57 years to help the community he lived in. During those years, he also served as the fire department's chaplain and also served the church by being a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Bud and Jane welcomed, 4 children into the world; Laurie, Linda, Kim and Brian. Starting family traditions was very important to Bud and Jane to create memories with their family to last forever. Every summer, the family all piled into the car with a monopoly game in the back window and made the journey to the Adirondack Mountains. There, they stayed at Cabin 6 on 4th lake and explored the Adirondack region. Celebrating holidays in the Morgan household was very important to create memories each year. Bud loved to take photos to capture these memories withal. One of Buds favorite summertime activities was volunteering at the Barnard carnival and managing the Dish on a Bear booth and cooking hot dogs. At all times, Bud always wanted to put a smile on people's faces by sharing his jokes and for filling in for Santa at the Barnard Christmas parties. Over the years the Morgan family grew through marriage celebrations and then shortly after that Bud and Jane became proud grandparents. After working at the Eastman Kodak Company for 40 years Bud retired. Upon his retirement he was able to spend time with all his children and 7 grandchildren by attending every activity his kids and grandkids were involved in. One of his favorite family day trips was going to the Seneca Park Zoo and having picnics at Braddock's State Park. After celebrating the holidays, Bud and Jane took their yearly vacation to Florida where they spent a week in Walt Disney World. After leaving Disney, they visited many other Florida attractions, friends and family. Bud continued his dedication to the North Greece Fireman Department and Greece community as serving on the fire police team. As we celebrate the life of Bud Morgan we are all saddened by his untimely passing however so grateful for the time we have spent with him. He has made such a difference in the Greece community and with every person he comes in contact with. One thing the family asks of you as you read this is to keep your family traditions alive as the Morgan family looks towards the future to do.
