In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Joann was born to her parents, Archangelo & Anna Liberti, August 24, 1925 in Italy. She was married at the age of 25 to Sam Agnitti. She moved to the US in 1963 at the age of 25. She and Sam began their families home in Hopedale, Ohio. Joann worked at Hickey Freeman Company for over 26 years. She would often come home from work and proudly share whom she had made a suit for that day. During her years working there she had made suits for president's, John F. Kennedy & Lyndon B. Johnson and numerous celebrities to include Jackie Gleason & Dean Martin. She loved staying home and spending time with her family. She was an amazing cook. Joann could cook most anything and make you want to keep coming back for more! Some of her most sought after dishes included: lasagna, gnocchi, pizza, roast beef, roasts and her chicken cutlets. In her free time she enjoyed listening to country music. Her favorite TV shows included: Lawrence Welk, I love Lucy, Andy Griffith, Golden Girls, Honeymooners & Ed Sullivan. Joann had a deep faith. She was raised catholic and regularly attended mass, prayed and watched religious shows on TV. Her children remarked "that they had no idea how she found time" to pray for all of the people she regularly did. Family and friends will remember her for being: loving, caring, generous, a friend to all, traditional and as someone that could always be counted on. She will be loved and missed by all who shared in her life.
