History
Entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home on June 28, 2011. Harry is survived by his wife, Loretta "Laura" "Laurie" Mitchell-Ellis; his daughters, Maryann (Doug) Nicks Betty Jean "BJ" Cook; grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Ras, Wendy (Dan) McShea Corey Cook; great-grandson, Jeff Ras; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Groetsch; sisters-in-law, Betty Ellis, Marion Ostrowski Kathy Schommer; several nieces nephews; Loving Dog, Heidi.

Services
Harry's Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church (1000 North Greece Rd.) Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Harry was a retired Volunteer Fire Fighter of the N. Greece Fire Department. He held the highest position as an Assistant Chief, and was a life member of the N. Greece Firemen Exempts. Harry was a retired Engineer of General Dynamics, where he was a Mechanical Engineer. His other occupation was that he began CNTR, Center for National Technical Resources, that produced projects for the Federal Government.
Harry's favorite music was Country Western. He also enjoyed Soft Hymn Ballads, Chet Atkins and instrumental music. His special family functions included him being a bowler, he liked to play softball, enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, snowmobiling, and he loved his dogs.
Harry's hobbies were many. He liked the outdoors, fishing, golf, and he always owned a boat. He liked hunting, farming, and the most enjoyment in his life was traveling in Florida, and spending time there, boating and golfing.
Harry was most passionate about growing his vegetables.
The best way to describe Harry, is that he was hard working, had high energy and he was always on the go. He was private and dedicated.
