(Cathy) Schillaci, her three beautiful grandchildren, Nick, Gina Laurini, and Sophia Schillaci, brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws, Patricia Ugino, Joseph (Millie) Schillaci, Ross Schillaci, Josephine Cunningham & Irene Schillaci; many: nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a host of other caring friends and families to include, Charles and Annette Schillaci, Nancy Mancuso, David Mancuso, Joan Pelton, Barbara D'Angelo, Albert Meilutis, MaryAnn & Rick Delvecchio, Linda Walworth & Karina Amyot. Beverly's family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Timothy Woodlock and all the caregivers at Unity Hospital and Hil¬debrandt Hospice Center.
Beverly grew up with her 2 brothers on Magnolia Street in Rochester. She attended West High School and graduated with the class of '63.
She met her husband Peter while he worked at the corner gas station. Needless to say, she was a frequent visitor there, they soon were a couple and married in May of 1964 at Holy Cross church. They had recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. They were blessed with 2 children, Lisa and Peter and eventually 3 grandchildren, Nick, Gina and Sophia.
Beverly loved to host holiday gatherings and cook Sunday dinners. She spent hours on complex puzzles, loved crossword puzzles, sewing and cross-stitch. You'd often see her reading her Danielle Steele books or watching movies with the grandkids. She loved TV shows American Idol, NCIS & Law & Order.
Beverly was very kind, giving, generous, thoughtful, gracious and tough. She put her family above all else and was the rock that held the family together. She raised her children to be strong, independent, loyal, generous and with good work ethic. She taught them it was better to give than receive and about the importance of a positive attitude. She was a believer in "This too shall pass." Through her legacy of love, she strove to teach her children to one day be great parents.
Beverly's visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Her funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10 am at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Road, followed by her Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Beverly's memory to: The Hildebrandt Hospice Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626. Beverly's kind heart, welcoming spirit and graciousness will be greatly missed by all.
