Grace E. (Dittmar) Klepeis
ROCHESTER - Predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, William Klepeis, daughter Kelly Ann, and sisters June, Pauline and Arlene. She is survived by daughter Kim (Keith) Randich, grandchildren Elizabeth (Alan) Roth, Anthony (Taylor) Randich and great grandchildren Ty Roth and Charlie Grace Randich.
Grace was born and raised in Allentown, PA, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bill. Grace and Bill moved to Rochester, NY where they started their family. Grace's family was her life focus. After the death of her youngest child, Kelly Ann, Grace started a career in volunteering. She loved working with special needs children.
In 1971, the family relocated to Greeley, CO, where Grace became an avid hostess. She loved cooking up and serving delicious meals to guests either in her formal dining room with fine china and silver, or hosting a picnic with paper plates and plastic silverware. Her love of volunteering also continued as she spent many hours creating flower arrangements to be sold at the gift shop in the local hospital. Grace's love of crafts went beyond flower arranging. She also knitted and crocheted many blankets, and baby bonnets, was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed spending her evenings doing needlepoint. She also organized the employee blood drives for many years at the Kodak plant in Windsor.
In 1982, Grace and Bill moved back to Rochester. During this time she enjoyed reconnecting with old friends. She always enjoyed Yocco's hot dogs with Tom and Barb Bishop, and loved visits from her nieces and nephews, Debbie and Don Adams and Bonnie and Ron Stauffer. Mom, Grandma and GG were titles that she cherished. It was not unusual to see Grace and Bill in the stands cheering on their granddaughter or grandson at one of their many competitions. Grace often commented about how proud she was of the adults that Kim and her grandchildren became. She treasured their visits and phone calls, and cherished the many memories they gave her.
Due to health and safety concerns, no public service for Grace will be held at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Grace's name may be made to Greece Little League, Box 16133, Rochester, NY 14616, or Lollypop Farm (www.lollypop.org).
