Greece: Age 85. June 17, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elizabeth "Cannella" Buda; children, Michael (Kim) Buda, Robert (Debbie) Buda, Lisa (Mike) Tschiderer; grandchildren, Brett Buda, Ryan Buda, Robert (Erika) Buda, Kaitlin Buda, Andrew Tschiderer, Niki Tschiderer, Chris Tschiderer; several, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Dear Friends.
NO PRIOR VISITATION. Nicola's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 12:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo, 3003 Dewey Ave. Rochester, NY 14616, followed by his burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Nicola's memory.
Nicola was born on March 20, 1930 in Cupello, Italy. He and his wife, Elizabeth met during their childhood as they grew up together in the same neighborhood. They later married at St. Lucy's Church in Rochester. During Nicola's adult life, he worked at Eastman Kodak for 33 years in Building Services and Chemical Manufacturing. He was a very hard worker as he never took a sick day. Nicola loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren brought him a lot of joy. One of his most special events was taking family trips to Disney Land. Nicola liked to cook and enjoyed playing the card game, Euchre. He also liked to grocery shop as he was known to always look for a deal. Nicola's favorite T.V. shows were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Jerry Springer and various cartoons. He also had many sayings throughout his life such as, "Life is like a boat" and "When you get a chance..." Nicola was known to be warm, kind and hard working. He had a good sense of humor and was always considered a gentleman. Nicola also had a sweet tooth and was playful like a "big kid". He was physically and mentally strong and was very patriotic. Nicola will be dearly missed by many friends and loved ones.
