GREECE - Bob passed away on July 13, 2019 at age 94. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Louisa (List) Brennan; four sisters: Ruth Werner Biondo, Dorothy Miller, Barbara Cole, Mary Loftin, and his first wife, Betty Kramer Brennan to whom he had been married for 22 years. Bob was also predeceased by his son-in law, Jerry Murphy. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Vera Laudisi Brennan, and his nine children: Carol (Larry) Perrin, Jim (Janie) Brennan, Rick (Sue) Brennan, Tom Brennan, Kate (Dave) Shuey, Rich (Joanne) Laudisi, Laura (Doug) Mann, Bonnie Murphy and Tom (Robyn) Laudisi. Bob is also survived by 19 grandchildren: Pete, Becky, Betsy, Emily, Stephanie, Matt, Adam, Alex, Alyssa, Michael, Robert, Michael, Olivia, Rachael, Jason, Vincent, Mitchell, Anthony and Zachary; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a humble, kind father to a blended family of 9 children and a devout Catholic. This resilient man grew up during the Depression in the "Flats" area of Irondequoit where his grandparents, Louis and Katherine List, had a large farm. Bob attended St.Thomas the Apostle School and Aquinas Institute until his senior year when he enlisted in the Air Force. He survived 34 combat missions as a nose turret gunner and bombardier on a B-24 during World War II. He earned a Purple Heart for injuries sustained from flak on one of those missions. After the War, Bob attended Alfred State College on the GI Bill. He started his business, Ancoma Cooling and Heating Inc. in 1949, growing it into one of the largest and most successful mechanical contractors in Rochester during his 42-year career. Bob enjoyed fishing and boating with his family at his cottage on Lake Ontario. He also liked bowling and golfing with his friends and family. This intelligent, loyal, and gentle man will be remember fondly by all who knew him. Bob's life story will be shared during his visitation at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.), Wednesday, July 17th, 2-4 6-8 PM. His Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 18th, 11:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., followed by his burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Bob's family would appreciate donations to, Adding Candles for a Cure, PO Box 10717, Rochester, NY 14610 (In memory of Jerry Murphy) or to Parkinson's Foundation of Greater Rochester, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in Bob's memory.
