Emily (Lioy) Russo GREECE - January 22, 2019. Emily is prede­ceased by her husband, Michael J. Russo. She is survived by her chil­dren, Michael (Chris­tine) Russo, Michelle (Mark DeSantis) Russo Robert Russo; grandchildren, Jackie (Michael) Ciulla, Katie (Bob) Estes, Melissa (Alex) Kingston, Michael DeSantis, Nicholas Johnroe, Brandon Russo Christopher Russo; great-grandson Jack Estes; siblings, Tom (Jane) Lioy Rose Margarite; close friends, Fran Koroly Holly John­roe; several nieces, nephews dear friends. Emily's life story will be shared during her visita­tion, Sunday, January 27th, 1-5 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 28th, 9:30 AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd., immediately fol­lowed by her interment in Holy Sepulchre Cem­etery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to 13thirty Cancer Connect, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in her memory Emily was born February 20, 1935 to Lorenzo Lioy and Michelina Calabrese. She grew up in the Otis St. neighborhood and attended Jefferson H.S. After marrying Michael Russo, they went on to have 3 children, Michael, Michelle and Robert. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the annual Lioy family picnic. She loved to travel, play cards with her friends and enjoyed having coffee and toast with anyone. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughters whom she always called her little "chickadees". Emily was a supportive parent and grandmother. She always attended their activities and was their biggest cheerleader. She was a kind person who always cared about others. She always had a kind word. Any audience, no matter how big or small, was touched by her warm and caring nature. She will be greatly missed.
