April 21, 2013. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph B. Ouelette; granddaughter, Jennifer Hill. Survived by her children, Richard (Sandra) Ouelette, Janine (Doug) Hill, Michael (Christine VanWuyckhuyse) Ouelette, Debra DeMark; grandchildren, Thomas (Kim) Hill, Adam Hill, Geoffrey (Rachel) Hill, Stephan Ouelette, Alyssa Ouelette, Emily Ouelette, Nicholas (Ashley) DeMark, Alan DeMark, Brandon DeMark; 1 great-grandchild, Aidan; sister, Shirley (Walt) Shaughnessy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Theresa (Alden) Cyr, Emilion (Yuko) Ouelette, Richard Ouelette, Mary Mae (Jerry) Orfitelli, Joan (Dick) Kratzer, Nora (Jim) Passier; several nieces nephews. Carole's visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 7-9 at the funeral home. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Rd. Entombment in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons St, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 in Carole's memory. Carole was born on February 17, 1937 to Joseph and Genevieve Behringer. She grew up in the Clifford Ave. neighborhood. She attended East High School. Growing up she enjoyed dancing and singing. She was a housewife just until her children moved out of the house. She made beautiful flower arrangements for resale. Carole was a matriarch. She had a favorite pet cat named, Buffy. Her hobbies were sewing, and she made her children's clothes, when they were young, golfing, bowling, played pogo, had a flower garden and she liked computer games. She loved Christmas. She enjoyed watching the tv show Combat and Dancing with the Stars. She was very faithful and sang in the choir at St. John's Church. She keep a very clean home. She was generous, she loved a large number of people. She played games of chance and her personal appearance was important. She loved her family, they meant a lot to her. Carole will be missed by all who knew her.
