Survived by his wife Patricia Taddeo; children, Debbie, John, Donna, William (Kelly); nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Josephine); sisters-in-law, Annette Mary; several nieces nephews. Don's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Progressive Pulmonary Unit of Rochester General Hospital for their compassionate care. Don's visitation will be Tuesday, April 7 from 4PM until 8PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His funeral service will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Donald grew up in Rochester, NY near Edgerton Park. He had eight brothers and sisters while growing up. Donald attended Jefferson High School and as an adult he became a carpenter and worked for himself throughout his entire career. Donald married his wife Patricia and they had two sons and two daughters. He also has nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Donald really enjoyed celebrating the holidays with his family. He also liked fishing and playing cards during his leisurely time. Donald enjoyed watching football and boxing and he loved to cook, especially during the holidays. One of his favorite singers was Barbara Streisand. Donald was known to have "old school" traits as well as a good sense of humor. He was a family oriented man and he believed in displaying respect to others. Donald will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by many family and friends.
