September 29, 1952 ~ August 29, 2015

Gail Passed away suddenly on August 29, 2015. She is predeceased by her parents, Richard Carmela Aquilina. She is survived by her husband Robert Peil; children, Karen (Matt) Burke, Brian (Rebecca) Peil, Melissa Peil; three Grandchildren; sister Alice (Robert) Hager; several Nieces and Nephews. Gail grew up in Greece, NY. While attending Olympia High School her friends would have called her adventurous. Gail met the love of her life Robert Peil through mutual friends. They were eventually married at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Greece. Gail was a homemaker and lived her life to the fullest. Family was at the center of everything that was important to her. Having her family over for Christmas Eve, Christmas and Birthday's was a true joy for Gail. Family and friends would describe her as: giving, a good listener as was evident with her "late night chats" with her daughter Melissa, social, creative, detail oriented, grew more patient as she got older, always on the go and she enjoyed accumulating things. Gail enjoyed watching Friends and Days of our Lives. Her music taste included the works of Michael Bolton, Neil Diamond, the Beatles and the Beach Boys. Gail was no stranger to technology and the internet. She regularly was on Skype with her grand kids. She also enjoyed Pinterest and Facebook. As an adult her adventurous side saw her travel to Italy, cruising the waterways of Alaska, spending time with her grandchildren in Portland Oregon and making trips to enjoy games of chance at the casino. Gail was very creative, all who knew her saw this in the many different mediums she used to create things. She enjoyed: making jewelry, paper crafts, crocheting, rubber stamping and she especially looked forward to making X-Mas Cookies to share with her family and friends. Her nephew Jeff always looked forward to the special gift package that would be sent to him from Aunt Gail at Christmas time. Jeff preferred to enjoy these sought after X-Mas cookies himself. Once Gail became aware of his friends desire for her cookies she was all too quick to make certain they received some too. Gail was very good at cooking homemade sauce. Her favorite place to have sauce away from her own home was at Red Fedele's Brook House. Her favorite meal there was Shells Rubino with extra sauce. She was no stranger to a good deal. She regularly went to garage sales and made sure she had the right coupons. Gail enjoyed shopping at Kohl's, Michael's Joanne Fabrics. The simple things in life she enjoyed the most. Everyday she and Bob would find their way to the Long Pond Family Restaurant where they would start their day with a delicious breakfast. Gail was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
