October 20, 2015. At age 84, Giuseppe is predeceased by his parents, Gandolfo Rosa Profita; brothers, Mario Frank Profita. He is survived by his wife Concetta (Cardaci) Profita; children Rose (Ken) Gardner Michele (Lou) Bentivegna; grandchildren, Daniel Sarah Bentivegna; sister Zina (Calogero) DiMaria; sisters-in-law, Josephine Viavattene, Lina Scarlata, Maria Profita Maria Cardaci; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10 AM at St. Jude's Church, 4100 Lyell Rd, immediately followed by his Entombment in Riverside Cemetery. Giuseppe was born December 18, 1930 in Petralia Sottana, Sicily to his loving parents Gandolfo Rosa Profita. He had 4 siblings Lalina, Mario, Francesco Zina. While Giuseppe was in Italy he worked with his family on the farm. Once he came to Rochester he began working for Eastman Kodak Company as a Pipe fitter in their Chemical Division. Giuseppe met Concetta through his father's aunt. They were eventually married November 13, 1965 at St. Michael's Church in Rochester, NY. Their family quickly grew with Concetta giving birth to their two daughters Rose Michele. Throughout Giuseppe's entire life he enjoyed being outside and working in his garden. He also enjoyed: playing cards, watching the Italian Channel and the News. He was a quiet man who adored his family especially his two grandchildren. Two of the more memorable times spent with family included a family trip to Italy in 2000 and going on a cruise with his family in 2010. He was loved and will be sadly missed.
