Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in Michael's memory. Mike in his early years enjoyed shooting sports with his dad on the gun range. During his High School years he enjoyed school and learning. Kodak hired him right out of high school and after Mike returned from the service he went to work for them. Mike's time in serving in the Navy taught him to become an electrician as he served during the Vietnam War on the USS Jason. Once Mike returned to civilian life he found himself back with Kodak and he devoted the next 30 years working for them as an electrician. Mike was social, his friendly nature made him easy to meet and get to know. His forever smile was inviting to others around him and it never seemed to go away. He led an active lifestyle and was always on the go. He was always quick top help others. Mike was proud of being a member of the Kendall Fire Department and EMT. He had a true passion for helping others and he enjoyed teaching EMT classes. He loved being in the outdoors. Mike was most content with fishing pole in hand or gun over his shoulder. His passion for fishing extended out and he owned and ran Searcher Charters, a fishing boat charter that operated on Lake Ontario. His daughter Tracy, her husband Chas are also certified Captains who have carried on the business and are currently running a Perch fishing charter out of Irondequoit Bay. Mike was so very proud of the fact that his daughter and son-in-law carried on the family business. Once afield Mike enjoyed hunting rabbits with his treasured dogs! Tickles was a great little pup. He was no stranger to spending time afield hunting deer as well. Mikes children fondly remember Saturday Mornings. It was this day that he would look for their help cutting wood. Miraculously the kids always were asleep or at least they pretended to be! Mike always looked forward to yearly family vacations. He looked forward to time spent with the Lester family. They always seemed to have a memorable take away from the journey's. One in particular took place at Walt Disney World. Timmy decided to relieve himself on Sandy's lap while riding on the tram. Family time spent at Grandpa's cabin in Dansville was always a great time. Mikes love of the outdoors and love of being with family made Dansville a perfect place to be. They always had fun with some of the simple things like just running around. Bumps, bruises and scrapes were just part of the experience. Mike also liked spending time with the Azzano family in the 100 Islands. He enjoyed snowmobiling and liked to have others over for snowmobiling parties. Mike liked eating at Italian restaurant's. His favorite was at Rocky's. He enjoyed many a bowl of tripe there. Mike was stricken at an early age with Parkinson's disease. He fought very hard. Once unable to continue to live on his own he made the move to the Rochester Presbyterian Home and finally to Monroe Community Hospital. While living there the residents and staff enjoyed his personality and company. He was well loved and cared for at both places. As chewing foods became more challenging for him he began eating chocolate ice cream. Right up until his last meal he got that extra dessert! Mike was the oldest of four kids. He referred to his sister Nancy as his baby sister. He and Chris would take her all over the place as if she was their child too! Mike was well loved and he loved others back. He will be missed!
