Greece: March 10, 2017. Predeceased by her husband, Nicodemus "Buddy" Natale; parents, Salvatore & Antoinette Cacciato; brother, Carl Cacciato. Carmella is survived by her daughters, Donna (Fiance Chuck Manel) Tandoi, Patricia (Anthony) Pennello, JoAnne (Robert) Powers; sister, Maria Zoha; sister-in-law, Kathy Cacciato; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Carmella's visitation will be Monday, March 13th 4-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Monica's Church. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Monica's Church, 34 Monica St. Rochester, NY 14619, in Carmella's memory.
Carmella was born on June 7, 1931 to Salvatore and Antoinette Cacciato in New York City, NY. She endured some childhood health challenges that she never let get her down. Carmella also had fond memories of her pet chicken during her youth. She met her husband Nicodemus, who she called "Buddy", in their neighborhood. Buddy worked at a funeral home across the street from a restaurant that Carmella worked at that time. They enjoyed many years of marriage along with their 3 daughters, Donna, Patricia and JoAnne. It was said that anytime you went to her home, Carmella always had the T.V. remote control in her hands. She liked many shows such as, The Bachelor, Shark Tank, cooking shows, classic old movies and ice skating. Some of Carmella's favorite music was Frank Sinatra and Andrea Botticelli. She enjoyed cooking homemade sauce and soups on Sundays. Carmella was known to go to Wegmans and Sam's Club everyday as she loved to entertain, especially birthday's and holidays. Her door was open to everyone. Carmella was described as strong willed, fun-loving and colorful. She had a good sense of humor, was out spoken and a great story teller. Carmella kept close tabs on her family as she was a true matriarch. She will be deeply missed by many family and friends. Carmella's memory will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
