Rosario was born in Alia, Sicily. After losing his very young Mother, Rosario and his family immigrated to the United States at the age of 4 and lived in Louisiana until the age 9, when the family returned to Italy. Eventually, Rosario met Salvatrice. The two were married October 16, 1949 and went on to have three daughters while living in Italy. In 1969, Rosario wanted to be reunited with his two brothers who lived in the U.S. and thus moved his family to Rochester, NY where he spent the remainder of his life. Rosario was a very hard worker and was proud to have provided a wonderful life for his family. He retired from Wegmans' bakery and spent the rest of his life enjoying his family who meant the world to him. Rosario's daughters and grandchildren got an 'I Love You' from him each time they were together.
Family and friends would best describe Rosario as a loyal, warm, gentle man, who thought of others before himself. He was a very giving man with a good sense of humor, quick witted and polite. He lead his family by example and was well liked by all who knew him. He had many lifelong close friends and neighbors who meant the world to him. His smile and warm blue eyes were a window into his soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
