Marian is predeceased by her husband Ellsworth and daughter Sandra Charles. She is survived by her son Ken (Anne) McCune; grandchildren, Max McCune Molly McCune. She is also survived by several Nieces Nephews. Marian's services are all Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Life Time Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623 in Marian's memory. Marian grew up in Utica, NY area and stayed there until she met her husband, 1st Lieutenant, Ellsworth McCune, while she was working at the Rome Army Airfield in Rome, NY during WWII. After the war they moved to Rochester and raised their children, first in Greece and then in Webster, NY. After retirement, they moved to a lake front home in Hilton, NY and then eventually moved to a condo in Gates. Marian's time living on the lake in Hilton was a source of great pleasure to her, as she enjoyed the water and her gardening. Many happy family memories were made there with her grandchildren Molly and Max. Marian traveled in the US, Europe, South America, Mexico and China, however, her favorite place in the world was always Grenell Island in the Thousand Islands where she spent time most every summer since early childhood. She felt totally at home in this beautiful setting. Marian had a great sense of humor, and seemingly eternal youthfulness, and always left an impression on everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
