Guglielmo, Ann (Della Badia) Rochester: On Saturday April 1, 2017 at the age of 88, Ann passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Anthony. She is survived by her children, Theresa (Cheryl) Artuso, Daniel Guglielmo and Anthony (Pamela) Guglielmo; grandchildren, Amy (Brian) Artuso, Tricia (Eric) Snyder, Melissa (John) Salter, Sara (Joe) Resch, Amanda Guglielmo, Lindsay (Caleb) Corona; great grandchildren, Anna, Carli, Julia, Brady, Chase, Phoebe, Joey, Lucy, Layla, Samantha, Lena and Olivia; sister, Albina Watkins; brother, Joe (Florence) Della Badia; sister-in-law, Josephine Spano; many nieces & nephews. Ann's visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 & Long Pond Rd.) Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church (3003 Dewey Ave.) Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Born in the Bronx, Ann was the oldest out of 3 children, born at home very prematurely, weighing only 2 pounds at birth. Her incubator was a shoe box kept warm on an oven door. She had a sister Albina and brother Joe. Ann went to an all girls Catholic High School and enjoyed getting together with her cousins for dancing. Ann was introduced to Tony by his sister, they dated few months and then married November 11, 1949 in Mt. Carmel Church. They moved from the Bronx to Penn Yan in 1956 and in 1959, they bought their first house in Rochester where Ann lived the rest of her life. She was married to Tony for 62 years until his death in 2012. They had 3 beautiful children, Theresa, Dan & Anthony, followed eventually by 6 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Ann loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet and get together with friends. She played cards, did word searches and more recently spent time playing with and caring for her dog Peanut. Music favorites were Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin. She loved to watch her soap operas, game shows and her Yankees play baseball. She also looked forward to Monday, 2-hour phone calls with her sister Albina. Ann was the team cheerleader for Dan, Anthony, Tricia and Eric's bowling team. She always worried about everyone's well being, she was kind, considerate, always smiling and had a great sense of humor. And, up until the very end, she had an amazing memory. Ann sayings: "Your sister's tomatoes," "Va Napoli," "I love you with all my heart," & "Always and Forever."
