He served four years in the US Navy and returned to marry his wife of 52 years, Charlene. Early on, Bob explored several business ventures. For many years before retirement, he worked for the Town of Greece Transportation Department.
Bob loved family gatherings, going to shows at GEVA Theatre, vacations in Florida, movies at the Dryden Theatre, listening to jazz music, and just spending time with his dogs. Some of Bob's hobbies included woodworking and re-finishing furniture. He enjoyed living on the water and maintaining his yard. Bob had a guest house that was always full, he enjoyed pig roasts and his favorite holidays were Christmas Eve and the Fourth of July. Bob was the kind of person who took a genuine interest in others. He was known to be social, easy going and most of all, a great father.
Bob was a gentle, quiet man who was thoughtful of others. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a love of conversation. He is remembered as a generous and kind person - sharing his home on Lake Ontario and his right-of-way to the beach on Rose's Marsh with all of his family and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
