History Survived by his loving wife, Theresa "Terry" (Giralico) Mayfield; daughters, Teresa (Bryn) Molloy of TX, Marie Mayfield; Bryn's children, Jennifer Molloy of CA, Erin Molloy of TX; brother, Richard (Mardi) Mayfield of CO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; granddogs, Zebb, Tasha Yukon. Services BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc. 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where John's Visitation will be on Monday 2-4 7-9 PM. Prayers for John will begin Tuesday 9:20 AM at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass 10 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church (St. Martin's Way). Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information John was an All American Diver while at John Marshall High School. He also played football baseball. He served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean War. While in the Navy he served in Shore Patrol and Navy Ordinance. He served on the following ships, USS Midway, USS Wasp, USS Coral Sea, USS Tarawa the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was a retiree of DuPont after 36 years of Service. He was a member of the American Legion, two different Posts locally. Terry was a childhood friend of John's for over 70 yrs. John was a family man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his K-9 companion Zebb. He taught swimming at the YMCA, was a Life Guard and a NY Giants Fan.
