Syracuse: James passed away Monday, December 3 at age 91 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness. Frank above all loved his family and is survived by his son, Jim (Nann Crozier) Poole Jr; grandchildren Benjamin Elizabeth; sisters, Lucille Willoughby, Bonnie (Howard) Smith; brother Harold (Rose) Poole; sisters-in-law, Connie Davide, Florence Davide, Olga Simone, Gloria Siddons, Beverly Davide, Thema Poole, Faye Poole.
Donations
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in James' memory.
Services
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). James' funeral service will be celebrated at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 10 AM. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
Frank was born in Glen Dean, KY and moved to Rochester in 1945 after marrying his beloved wife, Helen. Frank Helen were married for 53 years before her passing in 1998.
Frank worked for the US Post Office for over 30 years and retired as chief mechanic for the City of Rochester. He was a Staff Sargent in the Army during WWII and landed at Normandy with the 5th Armored Division during the D-Day Invasion. Frank was an avid sports fan and loved football and SU basketball.
