Rita is predeceased by her parents, Mary Angelo Grippo. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas A. Penna; children, Carmen, Mark and Marisa Penna; grandchildren, Christopher, April, Nicholas, Michael Kiera; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Jayden, Karleigh; brother, Robert Jean Grippo; sister, Angela Michael Mistretta; niece, Maryanne; many cousins close friends. She will be greatly missed and loved forever. Rita started working at the age of 14 years old at St. Mary's Hospital, then Stromberg Carlson. She also worked at Dr. Eichens Dental Office at Bullshead. In 1971 Rita opened up a private school. It was named the Block School for 7th 8th graders. In 1973 she was the General Manager of the Ziebart Rustproofing company on Lyell Ave. Rita then branched out to two more locations, one in Penfield and one in Webster. Our family would like to thank the staff at RGH's 2nd floor MIC Unit for the special care they gave to Rita. Rita's visitation will be Friday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. followed by her interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
