Dick grew up in Rochester near St. Jerome's Church. He and his sister Beverly were very close. He was very active in all school functions at East Rochester High, especially the marching band where he played trumpet. He graduated from East Rochester High School in 1955 and then attended RBI for 2 years. After his schooling he worked as a Data Processor for Genesee Brewery for 30 years. It was love at first sight when he met his wife Alice at Panorama Bowling Center. They later married and had their son, Richard and daughter, Alicia, with a handful of grandkids to follow. As a family they enjoyed many happy times together during the holidays and for family birthdays. Dick was a Cleveland fan through and through, rooting for the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He loved to bowl, play Bingo, cards and have cookouts. His favorite music was Big Band and Elvis (whom he met!). He was a history buff and enjoyed war movies. He read the paper daily and he like to travel to Las Vegas. As a person, Dick was very easy going, generous, reliable and dedicated. He was a lovable and social guy who maintained long term friendships from grade and high school days. Most importantly, he always thought of others first. Dick will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Dick's visitation will be 4-8 PM, Thursday, June 1 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd).
