In Loving Memory of Ronald Joseph Irizarri
October 10, 1960 – April 29, 2025

Ronald Irizarri, age 64, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father, proud “Papa,” beloved coach, and loyal friend whose warmth, humor, and boundless love left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Ronald graduated from Churchville-Chili High School and went on to serve more than 30 years as a skilled and dedicated carpenter with the Rochester City School District. Beyond his profession, he was a passionate mentor and coach-guiding not only his children, but countless others through youth and adult sports leagues. He served as Commissioner of Chili Baseball and was a lifelong sports enthusiast, especially devoted to his beloved Buffalo Bills.

Ronald was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph F. and Lorraine Irizarri. He is survived by his children: Anna (Tegan) Irizarri, Alicia (Cory) Kilpatrick, Amanda (Kailea) Irizarri-Geisbert, and Joseph Irizarri; his beloved grandchildren: Rowan, Sophie, Makayla, Timmy, Emily, and Maddie; his brother, Francis Irizarri; and his sister, Maria (Patrick) Irizarri-Davis. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Madeline Button, Alexis Andreas, and Patrick Truett Davis.

Ronald’s heart was as big as his personality. He was always the first to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. Ronald created a welcoming atmosphere in his home that showcased his love for people and celebration. His home was often filled with loved ones creating unforgettable memories together-reflecting his unwavering love for family and friends.

He lived a life marked by generosity, resilience, and humor. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 8th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY 14626.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 9th, at 10:00 a.m. at The Potter’s House Church, 1101 Clover Street, Rochester, NY 14610.
