Died peacefully on July 4, 2012 surrounded by her family. A native of Hornell, NY, Angie was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Angie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter S. Cartella. Peter and Angelina celebrated 61 years of marital bliss on November 11, 2011. Angelina is survived by her four children, Mary Cartella, Peter M. Cartella, Phyllis (Greg) Siembor and Frances (Orlando Rivera) Cartella; five grandchildren, Paul, Joseph and Peter J. Cartella, Anna and William Siembor; sisters Lucy Scrocco and Anna (Louis Bozzette); sisters-in-law Jane Cartella and Dorothy Ermy; Aunt Rose "Peanuts" Miele; many nieces and nephews; and her grandpuppy Paco. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Ermy; sisters Mary, Adeline and Sophie; brother Anthony "Butch" and brothers-in-law John, Joseph and Dominic. She is also survived by many cherished friends and her "sister" at St. John's Home, Anne Giglia.

Services
Friends may call on Sunday, July 8th 2-6 pm at the funeral home 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). Angie's Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am on Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church 2400 West Ridge Rd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
She was a member of the St. John's Women's Club, the Craft Girls, Tuna Tuesday group the Bausch Lomb Early Settlers Club.
Mitzi, as her family called her, was from a large and close-knit Italian-American family. Her legacy to her family and every life she touched was her love for family, her belief that family comes first, and her example of living life in a labor of love for those she loved.
The family would like to give their most sincere thanks for the loving care provided to Angie by the staff of St. John's Home Reservoir 4, Comfort Keepers and Lifetime Hospice Care.
