September 27, 1934 ~ July 23, 2024

Angelo Benedetto of Rochester: Went to heaven July 23, 2024, at the age of 89. Angelo was born on September 27, 1934, he was the youngest of six children born to the late Rocco and Cancetta Benedetto. He is now reunited with family, friends and his loving son, Rocky. Survived by his children; Rick (Lisa), Randy (Nancy), Rob (Paula), Anastasia (Christopher) and daughter in law, Michelle. Dear to his heart, his grandchildren; Thomas, Cory (Erin) Aubriana, Maliah (Nick), Cody (Kylie), Cameron (Lindsay), Clayton (Natalia), Crisanna (Ora), Rocky, Jennifer (Mike), Jessica (Tommy) and many great grandchildren. He will be missed by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ange had a love of faith, family, friends and baseball! At 85 his baseball career ended prematurely due to closures in 2020 or he would still be knocking them out of the park. He played football for Madison high school and graduated in 1954. Most importantly he accepted Christ as savior in 1980 and was a long-time member of First Bible Baptist church in Hilton. He served in the FBBC bus ministry and attended mission trips, including the Arctic and also served 7 years in the National Guard. Angelo initially worked for Coca-Cola Company and then went on to retire from Eastman Kodak.
In his retirement he was everybody's favorite school bus driver, instead of bus stops he provided door to door service, and showed special kindness to those who rode his bus. He was an avid movie collector and was one of the first to have an in-home theater 55 years ago. You might actually spot him in a couple movies that starred Robert Redford and James Caan. He will be remembered for his devotion to sharing the gospel of Christ and for his Yankees hat. His life verse and legacy Isaiah 40:31 they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
