Angelo J. "Jake" Cocuzzi GREECE - October 16, 2020. Jake is predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Jean L. (Pennello) Cocuzzi; sons, Franklyn Thomas Cocuzzi. He is survived by his children, Gina (Vic) Lipani, Laurie Aubel John Cocuzzi; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Cocuzzi; grandchildren, Anthony (Cheryl) Lipani, Michael (Yvonne) Lipani, Becky (Steve) Newton, Sara Aubel, Angela Market, Joanna (Kurt) Hammel, Franklyn (Melissa) Cocuzzi; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. All services and entombment in Holy Sepulchre were privately attended by family. Click here to sign Angelo's guest book "Jake" Cocuzzi (written by his family) Jake was born on 8/25/1925 to Nicolea Francesco Cocuzzi in Rochester, NY. He was the baby of seven children. Three brothers, Tony, Larry Lewis; three sisters, Mary, Liz Mae. He was spoiled by his three sisters every chance they got. Jake spent many hours with his brothers and his many friends playing in the neighborhood sand lots on Dengler St. Dad never finished school but joined the Navy at 18 years old. He was a proud World War II Veteran and served in Italy Africa. I used to tease him (Because he was so handsome) about how many girls he went out with overseas, my nickname for him was Dandy. When he came home from the war, he met mom, Jean Louise Pennello, and the two were married on June 7, 1947. They had five children, Gina, Laurie, Frank, Tom John. He enjoyed fishing with Butch and golfing with Frank, he recorded a Hole in One on July 6, 1969 at Genesee Valley Park. Before mom died, he took her on many trips. They enjoyed 2 cruises, went to Hawaii 2 times, Mexico Las Vegas. He was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees. He loves to watch them on TV. When he was in his 80's he joined a Tuesday morning golf league playing with a group of Firemen and his nephew, Paul. He played walked the course into his 90's. Dad was a member of the Eagles Club. He was the ultimate "care giver", taking care of mom and our family countless others. A good, kind, loving man!
