Anna Margaret (Vidoni) Gaspar
Greece: Passed away on December 31, 2022 at the age of 95. Margaret was born in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, daughter to Edith and John Vidoni. She earned a nursing degree at St. Francis School of Nursing. She met Alfred Gaspar on a blind date and they were married a year later. Margaret and Al raised nine children, having lived most of their married life in Rochester, New York. Margaret was actively involved at Guardian Angels Church and at Holy Cross Church, where she sang in the choir for twenty years. Margaret was a loving mother and wife, and caregiver to her husband in his final years. Margaret has blessed her children with gifts of music, art and dance, and a lifetime of laughter and joy. She inspired many of her children to pursue careers in education, carrying on her legacy of kindness, compassion and service to others.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Wegmans Family Cottages for their compassionate care.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Alfred F. Gaspar; siblings, Florence- Sister Mary Giovanne, SSN, Victor (Rosemary) Vidoni; Giovanna (Louis) Zabawa, Charles Vidoni, John & James Vidoni. She is survived by her children, Nancy Gaspar, Alfred (Christine) Gaspar, Kathryn (James Going) Gaspar Going, Mary Beth (Ed) Sturgis, John (Juan Perez) Gaspar, Charles Gaspar, Carol (John) Baccoli, Paul (Katrina) Gaspar & Joan (Mark) Oliver; grandchildren, Gwendolyn Niven, Adam Gaspar, Andrew Gaspar, Emily Gaspar, Margaret (Greg) McLellan-Zabielski, Christina (Aris) Payne-Tsoupros, Michelle (Robert) Hill, Mark Baccoli, Aaron (Bethany) Gaspar & Trenton Gaspar; great-grandchildren, Corwin, Nicholas, Evelyn, Kathryn, Micah, Ryan & Ruekia; sister-in-law, Grace Vidoni.
Margaret's life story will be shared during visitation, 3:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3rd at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 4th at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daystar Kids of Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, 700 Lac de-ville Blvd, Rochester NY 14618 in her memory.
