She was a devoted mother to her children, Joanne (Francis) Hozdic, Leonard Pavia, Nicholas (Carolyn) Pavia. She was a beloved grandmother to her grandchildren, Lenny (Julia) Pavia, Janette Larham, Rick Pavia, Robert Pavia, Lyle Pavia, Joseph Hozdic and Elena Hozdic; and her great-granddaughter, Natalie Pavia. She is also survived by her brothers, Arcangelo (Antonietta) Petitti, Modesto (Giuseppina) Petitti, Vincenzo (Rosa) Petitti; sister, Ida (Rocco) Serena of Italy; brother in-law, Donato Pietrangelo; sister in-law, Rocchina Petitti of Italy; and loved by her many nieces and nephews. Donations Services Assunta's visitation will be Friday 2-4 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 Long Pond Rd.) with prayers Saturday at 8:40 AM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information Assunta was born on November 5, 1928 in Faeto, Italy, which is a small town in the south of Italy. She is the oldest of 7 brothers and sisters. She met her husband Joseph when they both were young children. They were married for 62 years. Assunta was a devoted member of St. Jude's Parish. She worked and retired from Hickey-Freeman Co. Assunta enjoyed gardening and her greatest joy was cooking for her family and friends. Assunta will be greatly missed.
