Beverley J. (Olcott) Goodell GREECE - September 23, 2019. Beverley is predeceased by her husband William R. Goodell. She is survived by her children, Linda (Chuck) Rauscher, William (Karen) Goodell, Betty (Joe) Hamm Janet Martinez; grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle Zoekler) Rauscher, Stephen (Brittany) Rauscher, Ryan Goodell, Kyle Goodell, Lauren Goodell, Amber Hord, Christina (Dan) MacDavitt Amanda Martinez; brother Stark (Marianne) Olcott; niece, nephews, dear friends. Beverley's life story will be shared during her visiting hours, Thursday, September 26th, 2-4 6-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). Her Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, September 27th, 11 AM at Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Rd. Burial in Parma Corners Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14626 or to Honor Flight Rochester, PO Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692 in Beverley's memory. Beverley was an amazing homemaker, having a way of being efficient and making everything seem effortless. She taught all her children how to make everyday tasks much easier and how to raise wonderful children of their own. Things like: healthy cooking, efficient household tasks, outlook on life, relationships with others, etiquette and manners, laughter, dealing with ups and downs and so many more. Her daughter Linda was the first to get married and Beverley went to the business of creating a flawless wedding day as Linda lived out of town and was going to graduate school at the same time! Beverley seemed to inherently know what she was doing even though it was the first family wedding. She loved to prepare and can produce from the garden her husband grew; jams and jellies amongst other delectables. Beverley also loved sharing her culinary skills. And then there was shopping... and the challenge of finding a good deal. Antique shopping was always a favorite and looking for that elusive item she had to have. Beverley had many favorite things, but when she was with the family the favorite things we did revolved around the person she was with. She really loved her home and spent time decorating it to perfection. Beverley was loving, giving, fancy, generous and supportive, and looked for the good in everybody. She was always very kind. She adored her family and had many close friends with a wide social circle. In her younger years, she devoted much of her time to family activities. There were always three home-cooked meals every day, including dessert. She enjoyed her lunches and dinners with family and friends as well as the "gatherings," as she would call it, at her home. Mom always met us at the door with a huge smile and a hug, so excited we were spending the day with her. Family was always so important to her. Beverley's beautiful, loving ways will be missed by many.
