Carmela “Lena” Parrinello
Passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026
Lena is predeceased by her parents, Vincenzo & Carmela Parrinello, and her brother-in-law, John Stumpf. She is survived by her siblings, Mimi (Frank) Gaetano, Rose Stumpf, & Thomas (Dianne) Parrinello; nieces & nephews, Armando (Julie) Gaetano, Vincent Gaetano, Frank (Caroline) Gaetano, Lora (David) Zumchak, Alanna Parrinello (John) Dominguez, Fredrick (Elizabeth) Stumpf, Dana Parrinello & Esca Stumpf.

Lena was trained as a hairdresser, and many family members remember having perms done in the basement of Emerson Street in the late 70s and 80s. Lena worked the second shift at GM and Delphi, making many friends during her time there. Her retirement allowed her to enjoy those friendships, going to breakfast and lunch together, mall walking and participating in book clubs.

But Lena’s main joy was her family, spending time with her nieces and nephews, then grand nieces and nephews, and even great-grand nieces and nephews. Her abundant love and generosity will be remembered by all. Her legacy will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

Lena’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 10:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
