Carmen grew in Brown Square up on Jay St, picking strawberries as a child and went to Jefferson High School. He was very active in sports. He enjoyed playing basketball, was captain of the wrestling and soccer team, and loved to play baseball. Carmen was known to be very hardworking and industrious. He saw the good in everyone and had a great sense of humor. People found him to be easy going, friendly, fun to be with and a prankster.
After high school Carmen worked for College Club delivering soda until he was able to get a position a Kodak. Shortly after starting at Kodak he was drafted into the Army. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. When Camren returned home, he went back to work at Kodak where he met Florine.
Camren and Florine married on September 19, 1959 at Sacred Heart. They moved into their first house together on Hager Rd. Soon after that they were blessed with children and moved the family to Arcadia Parkway where they lived for 40 years. When they become empty nesters, Camren and Florine decided to move to a house on Willow Ridge Trail.
Camren enjoyed doing other people's taxes on the side and playing baseball for KPAA (Kodak Park Athletic Association). After retiring from Kodak in his 50's he picked up golf. His favorite sports teams were the NY Yankees, Syracuse Football and Basketball, and the Buffalo Bills. His favorite tv programs were anything with a Western, Gangster or Action theme. He enjoyed going to the lake for concerts and traveling to Florida, Hawaii, and Italy. During Carmen's free time he would go to the YMCA and meet with his friends for breakfast or lunch. He had a love for Italian food, especially Tripe and pasta. He enjoyed a good Schaller's burger on Saturday with his good friends Ralph and Sandy.
