October 7, 1942 ~ April 18, 2019

Carol passed unexpectedly on April 18, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born October 7, 1942 to parents Lucille Vincent Schlueter in Rochester, NY, where she was raised and settled with her own family. In the Summer of 1961, Tony met Carol while she was working as a waitress. Their courtship began and the two were married in May of 1962. Carol and Tony began a family soon after that blossomed into 3 sons and 1 daughter. She is survived by sons James (Peg), Kevin (Deborah), Rob (Sara) and daughter Tammy (Frank) DiCecca, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Cindy Mayer, many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is also survived by her beloved husband of "50 something years", Tony. The love, adoration and devotion they shared has been nothing short of beautiful and will remain as an inspiration to all. She is predeceased by her parents and two brothers Leonard and Gregory. In her 76 years, Carol touched the lives of many with her warm smile, great laugh, and generous heart. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. While balancing busy children and a home, she also held a career at Wegmans that spanned over 34 years. Through the years, Carol, with Tony by her side, enjoyed many things; travelling, seeking out new lighthouses, the Thousand Islands, cards games and dinners out with friends. She loved to read, feeding the squirrels and chipmunks in her back yard, occasional trips to the casino, a good glass of wine and the beautiful flowers Tony grew in their gardens, especially the yellow ones, her favorite color. There was nothing Carol enjoyed more, however, than being surrounded by her family, spoiling her grandchildren and watching them grow. She was always quick to offer a helping hand and to spend time with her grandchildren, also affectionately known as "Gamma days". For family dinners, holidays, and birthdays she tended to the extra details, trying to ensure every celebration was fun and memorable. She will be missed immensely, but we are forever thankful for the countless memories, and all the love she gave that will stay with us always. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday April 25 from 4-7 pm at Bartolomeo Perotto Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's name may be made to Verona Street Animal Society PO Box 22874 Rochester, NY 14692
