Our angel called too soon, after a year long battle with cancer. The happiest, most compassionate, positive, unselfish person we know. Cathy's loving family, husband, Dan Melia; children, Mary, Elizabeth Lucas; parents, Giacomo Maria DiPisa; mother-in-law, Kathleen Melia; father-in-law, Andrew (Gabriella) Melia; Nonne, Caterina DiPisa, Maria Ranalletta; brothers, Carlo (Kelly Richards) DiPisa Frank (Ami Eisenschmid) DiPisa; brother-in-law, Andrew (Cathy) Melia; sister-in-law, Cherie (Tony) Gugliotta; several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins special friends in Rochester Italy.

Services
Cathy's visitation will be held 3-7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Ln (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 am on Monday at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Road. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Additional Information
Cathy was born in Rochester, daughter to Giacomo Maria DiPisa. She had 2 older brothers Carlo Frank attended St. Cecilias Elementary School, Bishop Kearney lastly Nazareth College. Cathy earned her Bachelors in Special Education from Nazareth. Cathy owned and operated DiPisa Old World Submarine Shop. Checking with online reviews, Yelp has only one review:
"DiBella's, I love you, but DiPisa, I heart you more! Yes, you heard me right. I heart you more!! Wow, their subs are delicious, hearty and creative."
Very complementive for sure! Cathy met the love of her life, Dan, on a blind date set up by their friends. Apparently they knew what a great match they would make. Dan Cathy were married on October 3, 1998 at St. Cecilias Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially cruises Christmas time. Cathy's fondest memories were the birth of her precious children. She enjoyed baking, dancing lessons, camping most importantly attending her children's activities. Cathy enjoyed watching Dancing With the Stars, the Morning Show General Hospital. Everyone will remember her compassionate nature and the strength she displayed fighting her cancer. She will be missed by her friends family.
