History He is survived by his nephews nieces, John (Carol) Toscano, Mary Bauza and Lucy (Steve) Roth; cousin, Charles Macaluso; several nieces, nephews cousins. Donations In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Nursing Home, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 or Holy Name of Jesus Church, St. Martin's Way, Rochester, NY 14616 in Charlie's memory. Services Charlie's visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Church, St. Martins Way. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Additional Information My name is Charlie and I was born on December 27, 1917 in Rochester, New York. I was raised by my mother and grew up with two sisters and two brothers. I attended school at Edison. I was married to my wife, Helen, for approximately 50 years. We enjoyed taking vacations together and playing poker with other couples. I worked in a meat market and as a waiter. I also worked with weights and measures for various food stores. I used to enjoy going to the horse races, playing poker and watching baseball on TV. I am a WWII Army Veteran. I enjoy music, especially Italian music by Jerry Vale. I also especially enjoy spending time with children. I alway enjoy a cup of coffee and especially like to eat fruit and ice cream. The family wishes to give special thanks to the fifth floor south at St. John's Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Charlie.
