Rochester: April 1, 2014. Predeceased by his wife, Doris E. (Defendorf) Albrecht; son, Richard Albrecht. Survived by his beloved family; daughter, Elaine (John) Marchaesi; grandchildren, Erin Alexander, Zoe (Scott McMillan) Albrecht, Matthew Marchaesi; great-grandson, Darian Albrecht; several nieces nephews. Chester's funeral service will be on Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Chester was born on February 6, 1918. As a youth he was loyal, hard worker, well read, and had a thirst for knowledge. He was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor.
Chester worked for Eastman Kodak for 30 years as a machinist. His second job was at Anson Instrument. Chester was a proud Marine, WWII veteran and very patriotic. He had his pilot's license and loved planes.
At the age of 81, Chester started playing golf, going to flea markets, and was a Hamm Radio Operator, "WWB2MDO". At the age of 85, he went on a fishing trip in Alaska. He enjoyed Games of Chance and watching football, Western Movies, 2 1/2 Men, and Benny Hill. Chester loved music. He enjoyed listening to music especially by Eric Clapton Unplugged, Big Band Music and Classical. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
