In Loving Memory of Christian Lee Dukes, Christian, beloved father, devoted friend, and gifted musician, passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 58.

Born on April 29, 1967 in Rochester, New York, Christian lived a life filled with rhythm, soul, and deep compassion. From a young age, he was drawn to music, not just as a sound, but as a language, a way to express what words could not. Whether he was strumming a guitar, playing the piano, or performing onstage, he poured his heart into every note.

Over the years, Christian became known not only for his musical talent but for his generous spirit. He played in local bands and recorded with friends. For him, music was a bridge, to connect with others, to heal, to remember.

Outside of music, Christian was a loving father. He is survived by daughters Odessa Dukes and Sequoia Dukes, mother Mary Joseph, two sisters, a brother and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends who became chosen family along the way.

He leaves behind not only songs and stories, but a legacy of kindness, creativity, and passion. His music will live on in the hearts of those who heard it, and in the silence, where we’ll remember the sound of his laughter, the rhythm of his love, and Rock & Roll.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the music organization Groundwork Music Project in his honor.
